I’m a comic and writer from Michigan and my career started off as a total trash fire. After graduating from Boston College, I took a job as an auditor at a Fortune 100 company, where my day-to-day sucked for obvious reasons. So I moved to Los Angeles, partly to pursue creative work, and partly because my old apartment did not have a dishwasher.

I never got that dishwasher, but I  did catch a few early breaks doing joke punch-ups on indie films. The first was called “Conception” starring Julie Bowen of "Modern Family." The next was called “The Hungover Games,” that was ultimately picked up by SONY PICTURES. I also developed projects for TBS Digital and "Saturday Night Live's" Punkie Johnson.

That led to a few more things, including a gig writing for The CBS Showcase, and another co-writing the movie "Crawlspace," that sold to Michael Eisner's company, and later ran on SHOWTIME. I also did a bunch of other stuff, like developing a sketch as part of The Farrelly Brothers "Movie 43," and writing ads during the day so I did not die.

On a parallel track, I’ve been doing a lot of standup. That's led to some really cool moments, like opening for Harland Williams, Tom Clark, and Morgan Jay. It's also led to some really cool milestones, like performing at SF Sketchfest, The Bergamot Comedy Festival, and recording one of the first-ever standup specials in VR.

I most recently co-wrote a script that we optioned to National Lampoon during their overall deal at Paramount. And they're trying to make it, but you never really know with these things -- and at this point -- I feel lucky to be here. I'm currently writing a pilot with international headliner, Morgan Jay, I live in Los Angeles, and only own one belt.
